The Trusted Artisanal Guild of Amber

Our Strict Entry Standard:

The resources and workshops listed below are featured by invitation and verified alignment only. To qualify for our guild, an entity must strictly uphold gemological truth and reject mass-production shortcuts. If a supplier utilizes autoclaves, thermal clarification, chemically pressed fragments (ambroid), or deceptive presentation tactics to hide the raw reality of their stones, they are permanently barred from this directory. We only recommend artisans who respect 100% raw, earth-cut, mechanically polished natural amber.

Institutional Pillars & Education

Cultural and educational resources preserving traditional gemological heritage and training the next generation of native creators.

The Amber World Museum (Museo Mundo del Ámbar)

Location: Ciudad Colonial, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Founded in 1996 by master artisan Don Jorge Caridad, this institution plays a vital cultural role in preserving native gemstone history. Beyond its public exhibits of genuine fossil inclusions, the museum is highly recognized for its dedicated vocational workshop program. Here, Don Jorge directly trains young local apprentices in the specialized, traditional arts of cutting, shaping, and polishing raw Dominican amber, keeping authentic manual lapidary skills alive in the local community.
